Hi, I’m Dawn. I recently discovered watercolor during an all-day workshop, after abandoning my design career for the last decade. I was instantly drawn to the calmness, color, and challenge that came with every brushstroke. What started as a curiosity quickly grew into a passion I couldn’t let go of.

My first real watercolor was of my cat, Lily. Then I painted my brother’s dog, and something clicked. I realized that painting pets wasn’t just about creating an image—it was about honoring their spirit, their quirks, and the love they bring into our lives. The joy and appreciation I saw from others when they received those first paintings showed me just how powerful art can be in building connection.
